A growing number of people are leaning on AI agents to tackle everyday digital tasks. These agents can function as virtual assistants, developers, designers, SEO helpers, content creators, and automation tools — and at SharkASP, they’re now making their way into the Hepsia Control Panel too.
Starting today, SharkASP customers can access two AI-powered tools straight from their hosting accounts: the AI Coding Agent and a personal OpenClaw instance.
Both link AI with the hosting environment, yet they serve very different purposes. The simplest way to grasp the difference is to examine what each agent is built to do.
AI Coding Agent vs. OpenClaw: What’s the Difference?
AI Coding Agent: Your AI Developer
The AI Coding Agent is an AI agent dedicated specifically to coding and web development.
It operates under a special set of instructions that helps it comprehend coding tasks and complete them more efficiently. You can use it to build websites and applications from scratch, work on existing projects, fix code, add new features, and handle many other development tasks.
And since it works directly within the hosting environment, it fits naturally into the Hosting Control Panel. Rather than simply asking an AI model how to make a change, you have an AI agent that can actually help you work on the project itself.
But coding is its specialty. For more general tasks and everyday assistance, that’s where OpenClaw comes in.
OpenClaw: Your Personal AI Assistant
OpenClaw is a more flexible AI agent that you can configure to work around your own needs.
Unlike the AI Coding Agent, it isn’t focused on one specific area. You can assign it all kinds of tasks, tell it exactly how you want them handled, and change its role whenever you need to.
You can use OpenClaw as a personal assistant, research helper, monitoring tool, or to automate regular tasks and workflows. For example, you can ask it to deliver weather forecasts, prepare news summaries, track information, process data, or take care of recurring tasks automatically.
So while the AI Coding Agent is the specialist, OpenClaw is the all-round assistant. One focuses on building and managing websites and applications, while the other gives you the freedom to create AI-powered workflows around your own needs.
That’s why both have their own place in the Hepsia Control Panel at SharkASP.
What’s So Special About Running AI Agents on Shared Hosting?
This is where things get particularly interesting.
AI agents such as OpenClaw and coding agents are commonly associated with VPS servers, dedicated environments, or specialized cloud platforms. For the average shared hosting customer, this would normally mean moving to a VPS or purchasing a separate service just to use an AI agent.
With Hepsia at SharkASP, that’s no longer necessary.
Because we build and manage our own hosting platform and Control Panel, we’ve been able to integrate these agents directly into the hosting environment. This means customers don’t need a VPS, a separate cloud service, or any complicated setup. They can use AI agents directly from their regular shared hosting accounts.
This makes AI development and automation available to many more users, even those with no server management experience. For example, customers can use the AI Coding Agent with our Standard hosting package for just $3.50/month, getting web hosting and AI-assisted development in one account.
Which Plans Include the AI Coding Agent and OpenClaw?
The AI Coding Agent is included with all our pre-defined shared hosting plans. The only difference between plans is the number of projects that can be created:
- Standard Plan – 1 project
- Enhanced Plan – 3 projects
- Premium Plan – 5 projects
- Ultimate Plan – 8 projects
OpenClaw is included by default with the Premium and Ultimate plans. Customers using Standard or Enhanced plans can add it as an additional service.
What About Semi-Dedicated, VPS, and Dedicated Servers?
Both the AI Coding Agent and OpenClaw are also available with Semi-Dedicated, KVM VPS, and Dedicated Server plans running the Hepsia Control Panel.
The AI Coding Agent project quotas are:
- Semi-Dedicated Manager – 10 projects
- Semi-Dedicated Leader – 15 projects
- KVM VPS plans – 4, 8, 16, or 32 projects, depending on the plan
- Dedicated Servers – 100 projects
This means you can start using AI agents with a regular shared hosting account and move to a more powerful hosting solution as your projects and resource needs grow.
How Does the AI Coding Agent Work?
The AI Coding Agent currently relies on third-party LLMs to provide the underlying AI capabilities. Customers therefore need to connect their own ChatGPT or Claude subscription before they can start using it.
Once connected, the AI Coding Agent essentially sits between the customer and the LLM. Instead of sending a regular prompt directly to ChatGPT or Claude, the request is handled through the AI Coding Agent and its specialized coding instructions.
This additional layer helps the LLM better understand the development task, work with the hosting environment, and produce results optimized for coding-related requests. It can also help accomplish these tasks with lower token usage, making the interaction more efficient.
The customer brings the AI model; the AI Coding Agent provides the specialized development environment and instructions that turn it into a hosting-focused coding assistant.
How Does OpenClaw Work?
OpenClaw follows a similar principle but provides much more freedom in how the AI is used.
Customers connect their own ChatGPT or Claude subscription, while OpenClaw acts as the agent layer between the user, the LLM, and the workflows they want to create.
Instead of limiting the interaction to the provider’s official website or application, OpenClaw allows customers to build their own way of working with the LLM. They can define instructions, create automated workflows, connect different tasks, and configure the agent around their particular needs.
A simple OpenClaw setup might provide a daily weather forecast or news summary. A more advanced setup could collect information from another service, process it with an LLM, and automatically generate recurring reports.
We use OpenClaw ourselves at SharkASP, for example. Our setup automatically downloads and processes data from our analytics suite and provides members of our SEO and executive teams with regular summaries of website performance.
That’s a good example of what makes a general-purpose AI agent useful: instead of repeatedly asking an AI the same questions, you can build the task into a workflow and let the agent handle it for you.
What About Other AI Models?
ChatGPT and Claude are only the beginning.
We’re currently working on alternative solutions that let customers use these AI tools without depending entirely on a third-party provider. Those options aren’t ready for production yet, but they’re already in development.
Stay tuned — we’ll have more news on that front soon.
